FAQs

I live in a certain area,  is it common to have radon? The answer is simply this. All homes have radon, it's just a matter of at what concentration.

Can you just give me a quote over the phone? The state of Ohio requires any Radon Contractor to physically be on site to inspect the property to ensure an accurate proposal is given.

Once the system is installed do the levels always go down? Due to variables outside of our control there is a slight chance that, after the initial install the system would require an adjustment however it's roughly 1 in 100 systems this is needed. This is why it is crucial to do an on site inspection prior to submitting a proposal.

If an adjustment is needed do i have to pay extra? Typically no. The service rep will go over the finer points of the proposal with you prior to it being signed to avoid additional cost

How often should i have a radon test? All homes should be tested a minimum of every 2 years or any time there is major construction on the home.

How long does a system last? This depends on the life of the fan ( Active Soil Depressurization ). Once the install is complete a post test is conducted to confirm radon  has dropped below the action level.  At this point as long as the fan is functioning properly the home will continue to me mitigated.

What is the life expectancy of the fan? It varies by model, external factors, initial vacuum pressure and more. On average it can be from 5-8 years.
